Daltons Compost is a nutrient-rich compost designed to improve soil health and boost plant growth. Packed with organic matter, it stimulates beneficial micro-organism activity, enhances soil structure, and improves moisture retention β creating the perfect environment for healthy plants, flowers, and vegetables.
Unlike ordinary compost, Daltons Compost contains added Gypsum for better soil structure and composted chicken manure for a natural nutrient boost. Itβs completely weed-free, making it safe and easy to use in any garden.
For direct planting, we recommend using Premium Garden Mix or one of the specialty blends such as Daltons Vegetable Mix or Daltons Outdoor Tub Mix for best results.
How to Use Daltons Compost
As a Soil Conditioner
Spread 10β20cm of Daltons Compost across your garden beds.
This improves fertility, drainage, and long-term soil health.
For Planting
1. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball.
2. Gently tease roots and trim off any knotted ones.
3. Position the plant so the base of the stem is level with the soil.
4. Backfill with a 50/50 mix of Topsoil and Daltons Compost.
5. Firm gently and water well.
6. Finish with a layer of Mulch
